We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Assistant Inventory / Store Officer

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Position Summary

  • The ideal candidate will support the efficient management of inventory in the warehouse/store, ensuring accurate record-keeping, proper stock arrangement, and timely movement of goods.
  • This role requires excellent organizational skills, a proactive attitude, and physical fitness to handle tasks involving lifting, moving, and arranging inventory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support store supervisors in receiving, inspecting, and recording incoming inventory of store items with Bin Card record accuracy.
  • Support store supervisors in recording and verifying all issuance/outbound store items issuance Bin Card record accuracy.
  • Tracking Goods Received Notes and packing list on new inventory received.
  • Tracking, recording and verifying Delivery Notes of inbound received goods and inventory.
  • Organize and arrange stock to ensure accessibility and space optimization.
  • Support Store Supervisors in periodic stock counts and audits to maintain accurate records.
  • Assist in separation of inventory item from the central store and other SBUs stores
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards while handling goods.
  • Coordinate with other departments for stock requests and timely deliveries.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in storage areas.
  • Manage daily reconciliation of all inventory of store items working closely with Inventory Supervisors.
  • Obeying access controls of entry and exit in all stores.

Requirements
Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of High School Sertificate (S.S.C.E)
  • Previous experience in inventory management, warehousing, or related fields is an advantage. Minimum 2 years relevant store management experience.

  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work in high pressure, fast-paced environments.
  • Ability to think on the feet.
  • Strong business judgement and acumen.
  • Strong corporate ownership sense and very innovative.
  • Cost conscious and analytical, comfortable with numbers

Physical Requirements:

  • Physically fit with the ability to lift and carry items for issuance or arrangement.
  • Capable of prolonged standing, bending, and climbing ladders.
  • Comfortable working in environments with varying temperatures.
  • Living near Oregun, Surulere, specific project sites (Opebi, Abijo, Ajah, Epe etc) will be an added advantage.

Work Environment and Conditions

  • Location: Warehouse/store setting with exposure to physical and environmental demands.
  • Tools and Equipment: Regular use of lifting tools, ladders, and safety gear.

Compensation and Benefits
Salary: Between N70,000 – N80,000 per month (considering the minimum wage)
