Job Scope
- We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Oncology Nurse to join our dedicated healthcare team.
- This full-time, onsite role involves providing exceptional patient care, administering chemotherapy, and managing other cancer treatments.
- The Oncology Nurse will monitor patient symptoms and progress, ensuring optimal outcomes through collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
Job Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Deliver comprehensive care to oncology patients, including the administration of chemotherapy and other cancer treatments.
- Symptom Management: Expertly manage patient symptoms, ensuring comfort and well-being throughout treatment.
- Patient Monitoring: Regularly monitor and document patient progress, adjusting care plans as necessary.
- Collaboration: Work closely with oncologists, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective care.
- Ethical Standards: Uphold the highest ethical and professional standards in all patient interactions.
Job Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing; additional certifications or advanced degrees in Oncology Nursing are highly desirable.
- Experience: Minimum of 7 years of nursing experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role. Must have significant experience in Clinical Oncology Nursing or Palliative Care Nursing.
- Specialized Skills: Candidates must be seasoned, doubly qualified nurses with experience in Accident & Emergency (A&E) or theatre nursing.
- Oncology Expertise: In-depth knowledge of oncology nursing, including chemotherapy and cancer treatment protocols.
- Patient Care: Demonstrated expertise in patient care, including symptom management and monitoring progress.
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
- Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
