Job Title: Chemistry Teacher

Description
- Our client seeks an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Chemistry Teacher to deliver high-quality education to secondary school students. The ideal candidate will have a passion for science, the ability to inspire students, and a commitment to maintaining high academic standards.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver engaging Chemistry lessons that meet curriculum standards.
- Teach both theoretical concepts and practical laboratory skills to students.
- Conduct experiments and demonstrations to enhance students’ understanding of key concepts.
- Prepare students for internal and external examinations such as WAEC, NECO, and JAMB.
- Ensure adherence to laboratory safety protocols and proper handling of chemicals.
- Foster critical thinking and problem-solving skills in students.
- Provide individualized support to students needing additional help.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.
- Collaborate with other teachers to integrate Chemistry into interdisciplinary projects.
- Organize and oversee science-related extracurricular activities such as science fairs.
- Participate in staff development programs, meetings, and parent-teacher conferences.
Requirements
- Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree is an advantage).
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years teaching experience in Chemistry at the secondary school level.
- Certification: Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) certification or Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) is preferable.
- Proficiency in laboratory management and safety procedures.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and classroom management skills.
- Ability to simplify complex concepts for easy understanding.
- Familiarity with modern teaching methodologies and educational technology.
- A strong passion for teaching and mentoring students.
