Job Summary
- We are seeking a talented and creative Fine Art Teacher to inspire students through engaging and interactive art classes.
- The ideal candidate will have a passion for art, a deep understanding of artistic techniques, and the ability to foster creativity in students.
Responsibilities
- Teach various art techniques, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital art.
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the school curriculum and promote artistic growth.
- Introduce students to art history and diverse artistic styles from different cultures.
- Foster creativity and self-expression in students through hands-on projects.
- Organize and oversee art exhibitions, competitions, and school-wide art events.
- Encourage students to explore their artistic potential and develop their unique styles.
- Provide constructive feedback to students to help improve their artistic skills.
- Maintain a well-organized and safe art studio environment.
- Collaborate with other teachers on interdisciplinary projects and activities.
- Participate in professional development programs, staff meetings, and parent-teacher conferences.
Requirements
- Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree is an advantage).
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years teaching Fine Arts at the secondary school level.
- Certification: Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) certification or Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) is preferable.
- Strong creativity and ability to inspire artistic expression in students.
- Proficiency in various art forms, including traditional and digital media.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and classroom management skills.
- Passion for art and a commitment to nurturing young talent.
