Job Title: Monitoring and Evaluation Officer

Job Summary
- As the (M&E) Officer in a nonprofit organization your responsibilities will include program implementation, collecting, analyzing, and reporting data to help the organization assess the effectiveness of its programs.
- S/he will also provide technical support to the team in program implementation, communication activities, strategy development and implementation and report writing, among other tasks
Duties and Responsibilities
- The M&E Officer will provide support and guidance in the collection and analysis of data to measure performance against established indicators.
- Monitoring all project activities, expenditures, and progress toward achieving outputs.
- Developing and strengthening evaluation procedures to assess impact and effectiveness.
- S/he will work as part of the organization’s program team and assist in developing program strategy, designing program activities, developing proposals and reports, supporting the team’s efforts, negotiating and tracking activity financial expenditure.
- Monitor all project activities, expenditures and progress towards achieving the program outputs
- Monitor and evaluate overall progress on achievement of expected results;
- Monitor the sustainability of the project’s results;
- Conduct capacity assessment on existing monitoring and evaluation system
- Develop indicators and a monitoring strategy for the project;
- Recommend further improvement of the logical framework;
- Develop monitoring and impact indicators for the program’s successes;
- Provide inputs, information and statistics for quarterly, annual and other reports to the Program Management Team (PMT)
- Support monitoring and evaluation of the effects and impact of the program;
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in the relevant field, Data Analysis, Economics, Social Development, International Relations, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience in a similar position in nonprofit (NGO) work,and international development, preferably working directly with entrepreneurs, women and/or youth and other sector stakeholders.
- Experience working on donor-funded economic empowerment programs, education and capacity-building programs;
- Experience writing reports and project proposals.
- Ability to prioritize, plan and organize work to tight timeframes, handle multiple tasks,and be flexible with changing priorities.
- Experience promoting sustainable participation of women and youths in economic development
- Experience in event organization; detailed-oriented and coordination,
- Strong communicator and presenter in English, both verbally and in writing.
