Job Summary

  • The Deputy Project Manager for Dangote Cement Transport plays a critical role in supporting the Project Manager in overseeing and managing logistics and transportation operations for cement distribution.
  • This individual will assist in ensuring efficiency, compliance, and proper execution of transport projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Project Manager in the planning, coordinating, and execution of transport projects.
  • Oversee transport operations and logistics, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.
  • Help manage relationships with stakeholders, including suppliers, contractors, and client representatives.
  • Monitor project progression, identifying challenges and facilitating prompt resolutions.
  • Coordinate project meetings, prepare agendas, and document proceedings.
  • Support quality assurance processes and ensure compliance with company standards and regulations.
  • Assist in budget management and financial oversight of transport projects.
  • Prepare and present regular project reports to the Project Manager and other stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 15 years experience in project management or transportation management, preferably within the cement or construction industry.
  • Proven experience in managing logistics and transport operations.
  • Strong analytical skills and an ability to solve problems effectively.
  • Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
