Job Title: Head – Financial Planning, Budget and Control

Job Description
- We are recruiting a highly skilled and experienced head of financial planning, budget, and control to join the organization in Abuja, Nigeria.
- This strategic leadership role will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial planning, budgeting, and control processes to drive the hospital’s financial performance and support key business decisions.
- Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive financial plans and budgets aligned with the hospital’s strategic objectives
- Direct the financial forecasting and analysis processes to provide accurate projections and insights for executive decision-making
- Oversee the design and execution of robust financial control systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies
- Manage and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
- Collaborate with senior leadership to identify opportunities for cost optimization and revenue enhancement
- Develop and present financial reports and recommendations to the key stakeholders
- Implement best practices in financial planning and analysis to drive operational efficiency and effectiveness
- Monitor and analyze key financial metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for the organization
- Ensure adherence to Nigerian financial regulations and reporting standards in all financial activities
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration
- Professional certification such as ICAN, ACA, CPA, CFA, or CIMA
- Minimum of 8Â years of experience in financial planning and analysis, with at least 3Â years in a senior leadership role
- Proven track record in developing and implementing strategic financial plans and budgets
- Strong expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and risk management
- In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and Nigerian financial regulations
- Advanced proficiency in financial software such as SAP or Oracle Financials
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
- Outstanding leadership abilities with experience in managing and developing high-performing teams
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to drive change and implement best practices in financial planning and control
- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking capabilities
