Job Summary

  • The Learning and Development (L&D) Manager is accountable for creating and implementing learning programs that foster employee growth and support Dangote Cement’s strategic objectives.
  • You will work closely with business leaders to identify learning needs, develop innovative training solutions, and measure the effectiveness of those initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive learning and development strategy aligned with the company’s goals.
  • Conduct training needs assessments for various departments and job roles to identify skill gaps.
  • Create and maintain a curriculum of training programs, including onboarding and ongoing professional development.
  • Design engaging training materials and online courses that leverage current technologies and methodologies.
  • Facilitate training sessions and workshops, promoting an interactive learning environment.
  • Evaluate training programs through various metrics and feedback, making improvements as necessary.
  • Manage the learning and development budget and ensure cost-effective training solutions.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth within the organization.
  • Collaborate with external training providers and consultants as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Management, or a related field.
  • 8 – 10 years of experience in learning and development, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing effective training programs.
  • Excellent understanding of instructional design methodologies and adult learning principles.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess training effectiveness and employee performance.
  • Proficient in using Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning platforms.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships.
