Job Title: Entomology Team Leader
Location: Ondo

Description
- The purpose of this terms of reference (TOR) is to engage research personnel that will carry out entomological study in selected sites in Ondo State.
Specific tasks
- Leads the entomology team at the assigned study site.
- Coordinates and supervises hourly collection of mosquitoes using CDC light traps as a proxy for human landing collection (from 5:00 pm to 9:00 am in Ilaje and from 6:00 pm to 6 am in Akoko Southwest).
- Identifies collected mosquitoes morphologically to species or species complex level.
- Packs and labels collected mosquitoes and store them dry in silica gel until the specimens are shipped for further laboratory analysis.
- Resolve any issues reported by team members.
- Reports to Malaria Consortium’s entomologist.
- Ensures that all data is accurately collected and stored according to guidelines.
- Writes reports related to activities of the team, including achievements, challenges and recommendations.
Qualifications and Experience
- A post-graduate degree in medical entomology.
- At least 3 years’ experience in entomological studies for malaria research and control.
- Demonstrated report writing skill.
- Good knowledge of the Yoruba and/or Ijaw languages.
