Job Title: Fund Management Officer

Location: Ikeja, Lagos

Position Overview

  • We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Fund Management Officer to join our team.
  • The Fund Management Officer will be  responsible for overseeing and managing the organization’s financial resources, ensuring effective fund allocation, and maintaining compliance with financial policies and regulations.
  • This role involves coordinating investment activities, monitoring fund performance, and providing strategic advice to maximize returns while minimizing risks.
  • The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of financial markets, and the ability to develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring, controlling, and optimizing company’s cash to ensure that all channels and products are adequately funded for smooth transaction processing.
  • Reconciliation of all our bank statements and investigating and resolving all open / pending items
  • Measure the accuracy of cash flow forecast (expected settlement inflow & expected channels cash consumption) against actual results.
  • Evaluate the cost of acquiring funds for operations. Lowering the cost while maintaining adequate liquidity.
  • Track the time it takes to for different products to receive settlement and prioritize channels with a shorter cash conversion cycle.
  • Assess the effectiveness of risk management strategies and mitigating risk such as liquidity risks and interest rate risk.
  • Monitor the level of cash funded in our various channels to ensure it’s neither excessive, leading to opportunity cost, nor insufficient, resulting in liquidity shortages.
  • Engagement with banking partners for support and resolution of issues with payments processing.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal controls, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintain record and track our financial instruments with other banks such as fixed deposits and call deposits.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent
  • At least 3 years in Digital Financial Services or banking industry experience
  • Experience with electronic payment systems
  • In-depth knowledge of payment processing- gateways
  • Organization and Time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills.
