Job Description
- The Area Sales Manager (ASM) in the lubricant industry is responsible for overseeing sales operations, meeting targets, and managing the sales team within a designated geographical area.
- The ASM ensures effective execution of sales strategies, builds, and maintains strong customer relationships, and drives revenue growth.
Responsibilities
Sales Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and implement sales plans to achieve targets and expand the customer base.
- Analyze market trends and competitors to identify opportunities and threats.
- Coordinate with the Regional Sales Manager to set sales goals and objectives.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
- Address customer needs and concerns to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
- Conduct regular visits to customers and prospects to promote products and services.
Sales Operations:
- Monitor and manage the sales pipeline to ensure steady progression towards sales targets.
- Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and performance metrics to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures in sales operations.
Market Development:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the assigned area.
- Participate in industry events, trade shows, and networking activities to promote the brand.
- Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to align sales strategies with market needs.
Budget Management:
- Manage the sales budget for the assigned area, ensuring optimal allocation of resources.
- Track and control expenses to stay within budgetary limits.
- Propose and implement cost-effective sales strategies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the lubricant industry

Salary
N400,000 – N500,000 / month.
