We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Sectional Head (Workshop), Electical Department

Location: Okpella, Edo
Employment Type: Full Time

Job Objective

  • Lead and oversee the operations of the workshop within the Electrical Department to enhance productivity and ensure equipment reliability.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the maintenance and repair of electrical equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Supervise a team of technicians and electricians, providing guidance and support.
  • Develop and implement maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and maximize operational efficiency.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of workshop activities and procedures to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure alignment of goals and efficient utilization of resources.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and inventory management.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the workshop to enhance quality and performance.
  • Train and develop staff to enhance their skills and competencies in electrical maintenance.
  • Ensure effective budgeting and cost control in workshop operations.

Requirements
Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Professional certifications in electrical maintenance will be an advantage.

Work Experience:

  • Minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience in electrical maintenance, with at least three (3) years in a supervisory role.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Extensive knowledge of electrical systems and maintenance practices.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in the use of maintenance management software.
  • Commitment to safety and quality standards.
