Job Description
- Set up and operate various types of mechanical machines such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders to manufacture and repair parts for machinery.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to determine specifications and tolerances.
- Perform precision machining operations according to planned schedules and deadlines.
- Inspect finished parts for conformance to specifications using various measuring tools.
- Maintain and troubleshoot machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Work closely with engineers and other team members to develop efficient machining processes.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Requirements
- Technical certification or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a machinist in an industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of machining processes, techniques, and tools.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Proficient with various machining equipment and measurement tools.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and precision.
- Good problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
