Job Summary

  • As a Mill Wright Fitter, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of various mechanical systems and equipment within our facility.
  • Your expertise will ensure optimal performance and longevity of the machines, contributing to the overall efficiency of our operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, align, and maintain machinery, including grinding and milling equipment.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify any mechanical issues or malfunctions.
  • Perform repairs and overhauls on equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with engineering and operational teams to facilitate routine maintenance schedules.
  • Document maintenance activities and report on equipment performance metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies at all times.
  • Train and mentor junior technicians in best practices and safety protocols.
  • Participate actively in safety and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety and environmental guidelines.

Requirements
Education and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Mill Wright Fitter or in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.

Skills and Attributes:

  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems and machinery.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in the use of hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to following safety standards and practices.
