Job Description

  • To develop the Agribusiness value proposition for Business and Commercial Banking offering covering the full agriculture value chain (i.e. primary and secondary agriculture); and own the Agribusiness sector balance sheet and income statement.
  • To lead Agricultural business transformation through Agribusiness initiatives in order to meet the regulatory requirements, specifically where it concerns Central Bank of Nigeria intervention funds.

Qualifications

  • Any field of study, however Agriculture or Agricultural Economics will be an added advantage
  • Agricultural Association or Nigeria Institute of Management or CIBN or Farm Management Association, etc.
  • Given the specialised nature of the Agriculture sector, an extensive experience in Agricultural banking; in development of a value proposition, driving sales and customer service related to the sector.

Additional Information:

  • Develops the customer value proposition, acquiring and retention strategy for agribusiness clients across the 3 major agric industries (i.e. horticulture, livestock and grain).
  • Prepares annual financial, sales and product targets in line with strategic objectives, business, economic, operational, climatic, socio political risks and market forces in collaboration with business partners for approval by the Head, Business and Commercial Banking and Executive Director, BCB in line with BCB strategy.
  • In partnership with the Business and Commercial Banking team, develops an effective transactional offering for Agribusiness across the ecosystem to compliment the acquisition and lending strategy in secondary agriculture (i.e. forex, online, payment solutions).
