Job Title: Oxygen Plant Operator

Location: Abuja (FCT) 
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • As an oxygen plant operator, your primary responsibility is to oversee the efficient and safe production of oxygen within the facility.
  • This involves operating and monitoring equipment such as compressors, distillation columns, and heat exchangers to separate oxygen from air.
  • You must ensure that the oxygen produced meets quality standards by regularly monitoring parameters like purity, pressure, and temperature.
  • Maintenance tasks, troubleshooting equipment issues, and adhering to strict safety protocols are also integral parts of your role.

Responsibilities

  • Well Knowledged about Compressor unit, Chiller unit, Expansion engine unit, Liquid oxygen pump, Pre-purifier unit, Valve system and Plant control unit.
  • Well knowledged about observing pressure, temperature, level, and flow gauge to ensure standard operation.
  • Well knowledged about turning valves to transfer compressed oxygen to storage cylinder.
  • Regulating the oxygen cylinder’s gas pressure and measuring its level
  • Distribution of oxygen cylinders in accordance with plant requirements.
  • Responsible for doing activities/ progress as per maintenance criteria / parameters, instruction, training experience in line with PM, PI, on daily basis.
  • Responsible for Record gauge reading and test results.
  • Ensure timely execution of job with quality and identify the abnormality of equipment at the time.
  • Responsible for day-by-day shift Logbook maintaining, Keeping records of detailed work during the shift.
  • Reduce the down time of all equipment’s to increase the equipment availability for better productivity.
  • Usage of Optimum Spares & Controlling Inventory
  • Follow the safety rules and regulations for Zero accidents.
  • To maintain proper housekeeping and keep dust free all the machinery and follow 5S standard.
  • Manpower planning and engagement of shift manpower.
