We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: State Technical Lead

Location: Ikeja, Lagos

Duties and Responsibilities

  • This position requires that the incumbent manages and provides overall guidance to the state implementation team on HIV/AIDS care and treatment programs across the spectrum of Prevention, Treatment Continuum and AP3.
  • The incumbent is part of the senior management team in a decentralized management structure and forms part of the strategic team that directs the operations of the organization at the state level.
  • She/he will provide support to and coordination of the work of the state’s main and satellite offices.
  • The successful candidate will lead program planning, design, review and the monitoring of the program implemented at the field level.
  • The position will directly manage office technical and program staff and provide management oversight for operations within the state.
  • H/She will work with the central office managers to establish a program management capacity development plan to assist with program planning, design, review and monitoring of program progress.
  • Support the State Program Manager and the HQ CSU thematic leads in the program and provide technical support for an inclusive integrated quality management system to evaluate and address service delivery cascade gaps.
  • Support the State Program Manager in the program component of key stakeholder management at all levels and strengthen program management platforms to aid the continuous transfer of managerial and technical competencies to supported entities.

Qualification and Experience

  • Master’s Degree in Public Health, Management, Sciences or Behavioral Sciences, with 7-9 years working experience in managing programs at the
  • community level, a Bachelor’s degree with additional experience will be considered.
  • At least 5 years’ experience with HIV/AIDS program planning and implementation at the community level working with public and NGO sectors required
  • Supervisory experience in health program management with at least five years of experience working in health care system in Nigeria
  • Experience working in collaboration with local Governmental partners, U.S. Government or bilateral donors preferred
  • Clinical experience in HIV/AIDS care and antiretroviral treatment is an added advantage
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Exhibits a positive and professional demeanor in and outside of the workplace that exemplifies and furthers the mission, vision and values of the program; and does not compromise ethics or integrity or undertake legal risks while pursuing program goals.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills combined with the ability to work collaboratively with program staff and stakeholders across organizational boundaries;
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, to be able to accept and discharge substantial responsibilities, to prioritize work assignments, to meet deadlines, and to exercise professional judgment.
