About: Action Against Hunger
Created in 1979, Action Against Hunger is an international non-governmental organization that fights hunger in the world. Its charter of humanitarian principles – independence, neutrality, non-discrimination, free and direct access to victims, professionalism, transparency – has been the basis of its identity for more than 40 years. Its mission is to save lives by eradicating hunger through the prevention, detection and treatment of undernutrition, in particular during and after emergencies related to conflict and natural disasters. Action Against Hunger coordinates its programmes around 5 areas of activity: Nutrition and Health – Mental Health, Psychosocial Support and Protection – Food Safety and Ways of Existence – Water, Sanitation and Hygiene – Advocacy. Mission :
Under the supervision of the Programme Assistant Director, your mission will be to define strategies and coordinate Hunger Action interventions in the field of health and nutrition.
Specifically, your missions will be as follows:
Design, capitalize and evaluate nutritional and health interventions as well as advocacy actions in your sector.
Evaluate and analyze the nutritional context of the country.
Collect and analyse nutritional data from other partners (NGOs, UN agencies, government structures) to decide on the launch of surveys.
Monitoring and coordinating programmes in the areas of nutrition and health.
Oversee or conduct rapid assessments and nutritional surveys.
Control, validate and track the consumption of your programs to establish orders and perform quality control.
Managing the Health Nutrition team in the capital and being the functional manager of the Health Nutrition Program Managers on the bases.
Develop and lead programmes and advocacy in partnership with national and local stakeholders.
To represent ACF and to carry out its positions in the field of health and nutrition.
Profile:
You have a university degree in medicine, nursing, or another relevant medical or paramedical specialty, and you have a minimum of five years of experience in development project management or humanitarian action, in complex environments.
You have proven experience in the coordination and technical supervision of multicultural teams on multisectoral projects, as well as in programme budget management.
You have strong skills in project proposal writing and leadership, especially in complex contexts.
You are endowed with excellent communication skills, both in writing and orally, and know how to manage stress while demonstratingemotional intelligence.
Experience in the country or region is an asset, as is your remote monitoring skills.
A good level of English, both written and oral are required for this position.
Employment conditions
Fixed-term contract of use under French law: 12 months
Salary:Gross monthly salary: from 2597 to 2968euros depending on experience
Pension insurance reimbursement for non-French citizens: 16% of gross monthly salary
Per diem and monthly living expenses: 618euros net, paid on the ground
Monthly context allowance: 150euros
Child allowance: 1500euros per year per child present in the country of origin (6000euros/year ceiling)

Medical coverage : 100% of the coverage of health contributions (CFE + complementary health) and repatriation insurance
Salary maintenance devices (illness, maternity, paternity)
Leave and RnR : 25 days per year of CP and 20 RnR per year; support of the ticket with ceiling to go to the chosen break area, and 215 euros of lump sum compensation by RnR
