A prominent player in the Nigerian industry, the company’s operations span across the downstream value chain i.e. Petroleum Product Storage, Haulage / Distribution and Retail Sales. Our primary products include Petrol (PMS), Diesel (AGO) and Kerosene (DPK).

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Workshop Manager

Location: Oghara, Delta
Employment Type: Full Time

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage the maintenance and repair of trucks to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Oversee the workshop team, providing guidance and training to ensure efficient and safe work practices.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies related to vehicle maintenance and safety.
  • Interact with Logistic Coordinators and other relevant officers to prioritize truck maintenance and minimize impact on operations.
  • Work collaboratively with store officers to manage inventory of spare parts, tools, and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels and minimizing waste.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure workshop safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, new technologies, and best practices to continuously improve workshop operations.
  • Develop and implement emergency response plans for workshop-related incidents or accidents.
  • Perform other necessary duties as contained in the job description and may be assigned by management.

Minimum Job Requirement

  • First Degree (First Class or Second-Class Upper Division) in Mechanical Engineering
  • M.Eng in Mechanical Engineering is an added advantage.
  • Membership of COREN, NSE or Nigeria Institute of Mechanical Engineer is a must.
  • 5 years relevant experience in Oil and Gas/Oil and Gas Logistics is a must.

Required Skills:

  • Good Skills in repair and maintenance of multi-train of trucks is a must.
  • Spare parts vendor management skills
  • Knowledge of logistics and supply chain operations is desired.
  • Knowledge of Oil and Gas business is desired.
  • Ability to effectively manage Teams of Technicians and Mechanics in the Fleet is a must.
  • Supply chain/ Procurement.
  • Logistics and transport management
  • Good driving skills
  • Good store management skills.
  • Good communication skills (both in writing and verbal communication).
