Job Title: Furnace Operator
Location: Ikorodu, Lagos

Job Summary
- The Furnace Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of furnaces, ensuring optimal production of high-quality products while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor furnaces, adjusting temperatures, fuel flow, and airflow as needed.
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance tasks to prevent equipment failures.
- Monitor and control temperature, pressure, and gas flow to achieve desired product quality.
- Troubleshoot issues and perform basic repairs to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with other operators and maintenance personnel to optimize furnace performance.
- Follow safety protocols and regulations, wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Maintain accurate records of furnace operations, including temperature logs and maintenance activities.
- Assist in training new operators and sharing knowledge to improve team performance.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience in furnace operation or a related field.
- Strong understanding of furnace operations, thermodynamics, and combustion principles.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapting to changing priorities.
- Physical stamina to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of furnace control systems.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field (e.g., mechanical engineering) preferred.
Working Conditions:
- Work in a hot, fast-paced industrial environment with exposure to noise, heat, and hazardous materials.
- Wear PPE, including heat-resistant suits, gloves, and safety glasses.
- Rotate shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required.
