Summary

  • In the effort to achieve our objectives, we will need competent and committed personnel to support and drive the diagnostic center.

Job Profile

  • The candidate will assist in the provision of an efficient, effective and caring radiography and imaging service in the radiology department, which is run as cost effectively as possible and in line with best practices and center’s standard operating procedures.
  • The Radiographer is expected to work as part of a multidisciplinary team that undertakes diagnostic radiographic procedures in keeping with department standards, procedures and protocols.
  • Supervise and provide training and development of Radiographers and Radiography Aides.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including  All special procedures on X-rays, Mobile X-rays, CT scans, Ultrasounds, Mammogram, stress ECGs, and Resting ECGs
  • Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process, positioning them correctly, and ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Adjust imaging equipment settings to optimize image quality while minimizing radiation exposure to patients. 
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to review the imaging process and provide additional imaging as necessary for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. 
  • Maintain accurate patient records, including imaging procedures performed, patient histories, and other relevant information. 
  • Adhere to organizational policies and procedures, as well as regulatory guidelines related to radiation safety and patient care. 
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities to stay current with advancements in radiography techniques and equipment.
  • Performing general x-ray and other imaging procedures according to acceptable International standards, as directed by protocol and as per medical requisition.
  • Performing emergency radiography outside of normal working hours.
  • Performing bedside and operative radiography, in consult with senior radiographer, using prescribed protocols.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Radiography from an accredited institution. 
  • Must possess a valid license to practice as a Radiographer in Nigeria. 
  • Must have proven experience working as a Radiographer in a hospital or healthcare setting. 
  • Proficiency in operating various imaging equipment, including X-ray machines, CT scanners, and ultrasound machines. 
  • Strong understanding of radiation safety protocols and best practices. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
