Humanity Crew is implementing an MHPSS preparedness model in alignment with the UNDRR Sendai Framework (2015) recommendations. Humanity Crew has been providing MHPSS responses on the front lines since 2015, and is now advancing its preparedness approach to Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR). They are seeking innovative MHPSS practitioners who can both perform and teach, lead and collaborate with communities, and who are passionate about being proactive problem solvers before, during and after crises.

Experience, qualifications

  • 3 years experience implementing MHPSS programs
  • Diploma or degree in public health, psychology, Mental Health or related field
  • Previous experience in building online platforms
  • Experience working in NGO working environment
  • Good or developing skills in word, excel, Monday.com and other reporting mechanism
  • Clear capacity or commitment to learn how to use monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning
  • English at B2 is mandatory

Goal

Responsible for supporting implementation of and facilitation of Hub activities as a core modality of Humanity Crew actions

Objective 1: Support assessment of training needs for Hubs

  • Complete assessment of MHPSS understanding, needs and resources in target hubs
  • Participate in the identification, mobilization and establishment of hubs in emergency responses and preparedness hubs
  • Prepare under MHPSS Manager supervision educational material such as module summaries, videos etc.

Objective 2: Support and participate in the efficiency and competitive advantage of Humanity Crew and Hub personnel.

  • Support seminars, workshops, individual training sessions both in person at hub locations and remotely via online forum and technical workshops.
  • Keep attendance and other records of hub participation; actively participate on MEAL with regards Hub activities

Objective 3: Coordinate with MHPSS and MEAL officers in Humanity Crew to support preparedness, critical response and recovery capacity of hubs following crisis

  • Support assessment of the capacity of potential Hub members within an emergency response where necessary.
  • Potentially support on emergency responses specific to Hub activation, with secondary role on program support as needed.
