The Danish Refugee Council (DRC) is one of the world’s leading humanitarian NGOs, working in more than 40 countries to provide assistance with a rights-based approach for refugees, asylum-seekers, internally displaced persons, returnees and other people in mobility, in addition to vulnerable local populations / host communities. DRC is currently seeking a highly qualified person for the position of Human Resources Officer, based in Caracas, Venezuela.

Objective of the position: The Human Resources Officer will be responsible for providing administrative, operational and / or technical support in the DRC operation processes when the operation requires it, in accordance with the internal framework of DRC Venezuela, the regulations imposed by donors and Venezuelan regulations; will be under the supervision of the Human Resources team leader.

Responsibilities:

Compensation and benefits:

  • Properly manage payroll and compensation processes (vacation, vacation bonus, legal benefits, settlements) according to local law.
  • Keep parafiscal updates and monitor payments at specific times (IVSS, FAOV, INCES).
  • Carry out the correct monitoring of the new income to each of the platforms and include it in payroll according to the calendar.
  • Develop and implement the project to assess steps on a salary scale.
  • Review of salary study results for possible salary adjustments.

Evaluation and performance:

  • Implement evaluation and performance project at the national level
  • Make regular presentations on how to create performance goals and the right load in Dynamics.
  • Carry out quarterly monitoring of performance objectives and support direct managers to create and close them.
  • Facilitate performance training and career plans.
  • Create Evaluation 360 methodology aligned with the basic DRC competencies.
  • Implement a salary progression project according to performance.
  • Create training associated with feedback and low performance management.

Wellness program:

  • Follow up on the processes of inclusion of new income in private health insurance.
  • Coordinate bi-monthly meetings with the insurance broker and new income for the optimal use of the policy and each of its procedures.
  • Support with the management of the wellness program at the national level.
  • Development and implementation of initiatives associated with job security (pre-income, annual and post-employment exams).

Personnel departure and termination processes.

  • Conduct exit interviews at each of the expenses.
  • Perform employee termination In ERP Dynamics.
  • Calculation and monitoring of settlements according to local law

Others:

  • Improve implemented processes that promote agility and innovation in Human Resources.
  • Support Venezuela’s Human Resources activities when the level of the operation requires it.
  • Support the team with different activities depending on the operation.
  • Effective and efficient management of ERP (Dynamics)
  • Support in the management of recruitment processes according to the operation merits it

Experiences and competences:

  • Minimum two or three years of work experience in performing administrative Human Resources tasks, preferably related to an NGO or other non-profit organization
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word and Power Point)
  • Cultural sensitivity and ability to work in an intercultural environment
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
  • Ability to work as a team
  • Ability to organize, plan and prioritize activities.
  • Strong interpersonal and intercultural and communication skills, both oral and written
  • Will and ability to learn

Education

Professional in Administrative Sciences, Occupational Health, Psychology with organizational or related emphasis.

Desirable: English language proficiency / Intermediate level.
