Job description
Within the Operations Directorate, and more specifically the DOAP ( Deputy Operations Directorate for Programs ), the Water, Sanitation, Hygiene Technical Referent ( RT EAH ) supports the Program Managers and technical coordinators in management and technical monitoring WASH programs developed based on the expertise for which it is responsible, in particular the adequacy between the activities, results and objectives of the WASH programs with the general objectives and strategies of the association (in particular the WASH strategy), as defined in annual program frameworks. It ensures that optimum quality of activities is achieved, via remote support or field deployment, and contributes to the coherence and adequacy of the means and resources mobilized. 30% of his time is also dedicated to the strategic projects of the WASH division of the DOAP .

With this in mind, he · she:
- Takes an active part in the development of SI’s global, regional and country WASH strategies, ensure their proper implementation and ensure their external promotion.
- Contributes to the process of capitalizing and improving IS WASH methods and techniques, and strengthens the technical and methodological skills of mission human resources.
- In order to ensure quality monitoring of missions, the EAH RT can be deployed up to 25% of their time in the field for a maximum duration of 3 weeks per deployment.
Furthermore, 30% of his time (on average) will be devoted to the institutional and strategic projects of the WASH division of the DOAP, in particular support for innovation and research, monitoring of technical partners, and the production of documents.
Your profile
Training :Higher education ( Bac + 5 desired ) in hydraulics, hydrogeology, water management and / or civil engineering ( Engineering School, BTS Management and Mastery of Water Master’s degree specialized in management and engineering of water and water services sanitation, etc. ).
Experience: At least 5 years of experience in Emergency & Reconstruction humanitarian missions on Water, Sanitation and Hygiene projects or programs ( including at least two years in project coordination and team management ).
Technical and methodological skills:
- Knowledge of water resources, its management and protection, hydrogeology
- Water production structures and methods: drilling, wells, spring collection, etc.
- Pumping stations and energy sources ( renewable energy, sizing, construction, maintenance and management )
- Geochemistry, water chemistry, analysis and control of water quality
- Water purification: works and processes
- Drinking water distribution: emergency distribution points, networks (sizing, construction, maintenance and management)
- Epidemics of diarrhoeal diseases (e.g. cholera), epidemics with pandemic potential (e.g. Ebola: Epidemiology, control techniques and management
- Vector control
- Diagnosis and project setup; project evaluation
- Surveys, context analysis
- Community approach, collaboration with national and local authorities; and;
- Functionality, management and governance of WASH systems/institutional strengthening of WASH services
- Capacity of animation, training, negotiation skills
- Appetite for HR management
- Appetite for research, development and appropriation methodologies of technological innovation

SI will offer you the following conditions
- Position based at the headquarters of Solidarity International, in Clichy la Garenne (Metro Mairie de Clichy) with field travel
- Permanent contract – Framework status
- Gross monthly remuneration of: €3,183 or €3,316 depending on the scale in effect at headquarters
- Possibility of teleworking: 4 or 12 days of teleworking per month or 100% teleworking with 3 days of mandate face-to-face work per month. In accordance with the Teleworking Charter in force and the manager.
- Leave: 2.0833 CP/month and 1 day of RTT/full month of work
- Recovery days and 100% medical coverage during field trips
