Created in 1979, Action Against Hunger (ACF) is an international non-governmental organization that fights hunger around the world. Its charter of humanitarian principles – independence, neutrality, non-discrimination, free and direct access to victims, professionalism, transparency – has been founding its identity for more than 35 years. Its mission is to save lives by eliminating hunger through the prevention, detection and treatment of undernutrition, in particular during and after the situations of’urgency related to conflicts and natural disasters. Action contre la Faim coordinates its programs around 5 areas of’activities : Nutrition and Health – Mental Health and Care Practices – Food Safety and Means of’Existence – Water, Health and Health, Sanitation and Hygiene – Advocacy. In 2016,Action Against Hunger has helped more than 14.7 million people in 49 countries around the world.

You will join a team of 8 people in the Water, Sanitation and Hygiene department (EAH, or WASH in English).

Your position and responsibilities

Create WASH Kits accessible to all (including the field) with the latest/relevant tools, guidelines, publications, training, research, etc, field experience and capitalize on the productions of ACFIN (headquarters and field) and other players in the sector for the years 2022 and 2023.

️ Mission 1 :

· List the fields of’s application of WASH kits (WASH’Nutrition, Wash’health, etc.)

· Identify for each field the latest productions produced by ACFIN and/or other partners in the WASH sector (or other related humanitarian sectors)

· Construction of kits (synthetic, practical, accessible)

· Putting kits online

· ACFIN communication (siege and field) on kits (access, use, etc.).

Your profile

We are currently looking for a dynamic and motivated(e) candidate(e) to join our team as an intern. We want to attract the attention of people sharing our values and commitment to the WASH sector (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene).

Profile sought :

Experience in the WASH sector : Prior experience, ideally in the WASH sector (for example in a water agency), would be a major asset.

Connection to the sector: We are looking for someone well connected, capable of understanding the challenges and dynamics of the WASH sector.

Language skills: A minimum command of French and English is required. A trilingual master’s degree ( French, English, and Spanish ) would be a definite advantage, especially for interactions with the ACFIN network.

Your conditions of employment

Obligatory condition : Have an internship agreement issued by a school under French law
Duration of the internship: 6 months
Location: Montreuil, IDF

Salary Conditions :

Internship compensated up to the minimum legal hourly gratuity (base of 35h/week)
21 Days of RTT (extended to the time of presence in the’organisation)
Days of’absence for examination, university research, etc.
Transport : Support at 50% of the package between the home and the workplace
Titles-restaurant : Supported at 60% by the’association for a value of 8€
175€/an(social works) and discount on movie tickets

Teleworking: Open to all·s and from the metropolitan territory, the teleworking policy defines the activities of the position requiring an imperative time of presence at the headquarters, and allows you to choose to’ fully or partially exercise the rest of this time in telecommuting. Indeed, it was defined for this position a mandatory presence at the headquarters of 5 days/month. Attendance times at the headquarters will also be dedicated to collective sharing : 3 days/month on average for meetings and collective events and 2 days of mandatory attendance the first 6 weeks during your integration into the’ team.
