Environmental Development and Family Health Organisation (EDFHO) was established and registered as a Non-Governmental Organization to promote the socio-economic development of the less privileged through an improved poverty alleviation program in Nigeria by providing its target groups (women, children, youths, and artisans) with the capacity to protect the environment and provide effective health services and economic empowerment for sustainable development. To achieve this, EDFHO adopted poverty reduction integrated programming which includes: Reproductive health, HIV / AIDS, Child, and Maternal health; Environment, Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene promotion; Micro-credit for cooperative Agriculture and Enterprises development scheme for youths and women empowerment; and Mentorship, Capacity building, and consultancy services.
We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Sponsorship Officer
Location: Ado Ekiti, Ekiti

Job Roles and Responsibilities
- Plan and implement all Sponsorship activities (Child Message Collection, Photo Updates, Children and Family Sensitization)
- Work with Communities and Children to understand and support Child Sponsorship mechanism.
- Ensure that good relationships are maintained with community members (Community Facilitators, Teachers, Community Leaders and Parents) through the provision of training and orientation on the Approach to development and the use of Child Sponsorship mechanism.
- Ensure compliance with all Child Sponsorship policies and procedures in the work of the organization
- Collect Child Profiles as per Annual Allocation and supervision is provided to Community Volunteers involved in Child Profile collection, Photographs are taken and processed according to standards laid down by donor.
- Ensure that All child sponsors receive 2 (two) Child Messages per year, Child Message collection activities are planned and implemented within deadlines
- Support in implementing other office programs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in any Social Sciences discipline
- 2+ years’ experience in working in the NGO sector
- Good knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office applications – Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Evidence of strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to follow and develop processes
- Evidence of good organizational, analytical, oral, and written communication skills in English; and ability to work well in teams
- Committed to the organizational mission and values.
