Job Title: Business Development / Sales Manager

Location: Gbagada, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time


  • We are looking for an innovative and driven Business Development / Sales Manager who would be Responsible for analyzing our customer base and current sales strategies and identifying Opportunities to increase sales and profitability.

Job Responsibilities

  • Analyze our strategic business offerings and current customer portfolio to identify Potential sales opportunities
  • Build strong relationships with customers and company stakeholders Review and communicate proposals and cost estimates to customers and stakeholders
  • Negotiate transaction value and delivery timelines
  • Oversee regional and local sales operations.
  • Achieve growth and hit sales targets by successfully managing the Regional Sales team
  • Develop and test unique business strategies and concepts
  • Collaborate with colleagues and peers on the sales, marketing, and product development
  • Teams to improve overall customer experience and satisfaction
  • Stay up to date on company best practices, policies, products, pricing, and promotions
  • Increase overall sales efficiency and profitability through excellent salesmanship
  • Developing a growth strategy for the Regional office – This strategy would be focused on increasing market share in the region, ensure customer satisfaction and profit for the business
  • Identifying and engaging prospects, follow up on business opportunities and set meetings Initiating and maintaining profitable relationships with new/ existing customers
  • Introducing new/ existing products to prospective School Kits’ clients
  • Developing and reviewing marketing materials for the Marketing/Sales department (with Your HOD’s guidance)
  • Writing reports on trends in the industries we operate – Education, Retail and Textile- and ensure Management is properly informed.
  • Negotiating contracts, initiating proposals, and closing deals
  • Preparing presentations

Qualification and Requirements

  • HND / B.Sc in any relevant field
  • 3-4 years of Relevance work experience in Sales Or Business Development Roles
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Critical thinking skills, analytical, organized
  • Creatively-minded, good at thinking ‘outside the box’
  • Ability to travel when necessary to meet with customers and/or stakeholders and build business relationships
  • Familiarity with relevant technology tools such as Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and Power point) and relevant enterprise and CRM software
